Kashmire Hawker for Penn

I am honoured to again be the Labour and Co-operative Party Candidate for the 2026 Local Election in Penn, Wolverhampton.

Running in Penn for the 3rd election running, I would be truly delighted and proud to serve a wonderful part of my city.

Penn is a quite superb place, peppered with tremendous pubs, brilliant independent local businesses, home of exceptional voluntary sector organisations and outstanding recreational spaces.

All of these places and Penn’s incredible residents, deserve a Councillor who can get the best for them, working hand in hand with a Wolverhampton Labour ran Council, local MP in Warinder Juss, West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner Simon Foster and West Midlands Mayor Richard Parker.

Our Labour Council is focused on delivering the improvements that matter most to residents across Wolverhampton. We are investing directly in your priorities—fixing roads, strengthening neighbourhoods, and supporting those who need help the most.

A £50 million programme is happening to repair and resurface roads and footways including Penn Road, Our cleaner, greener city initiatives are expanding, with new neighbourhood teams, tougher fly‑tipping enforcement and faster cleanup standards already making a visible difference.

We are also delivering cheaper parking, improved safety and grants supporting local businesses. Alongside major investment in new and improved homes and increased support for vulnerable residents, we remain committed to building a fairer, safer and more resilient Wolverhampton.

From the need to Keep Penn Green and Clean, to tackling the state of the roads (not least potholes and speeding), and from making its housing more energy efficient, to getting better public health services and working local businesses to keep the economy thriving, From the need to Keep Penn Green and Clean, to tackling the state of the roads (not least potholes and speeding), and from making its housing more energy efficient, to getting better public health services and working local businesses to keep the economy thriving, I will if elected on May 7th 2026, be an open, visible, honest and transparent Councillor who works hard every day in championing the interests of all who live, work and study in a part of the city rooted by its phenomenal communities.

A Labour and Co-operative Councillor serving Penn, would be able to contribute and influence this work and our fantastic community and its future and with there being no Liberal Democrat candidate and the Green candidate living in the neighbouring borough of Dudley, I am the only trusted progressive on the ballot.

This election matters. Make your voice count - vote Labour and Co-operative on May 7th and Let’s Put Penn First.
